Can you spot a Flower of Life flower? It’s a flower that unfolds the Flower of Life sacred geometrical pattern in its blossom.

Multiple evenly-spaced, overlapping circles forming a mesmerizing flower-like pattern effectuate the Flower of Life pattern.

Once you acquaint yourself with the Flower of Life pattern, you’ll see the geometry display itself in many a Flower of Life flower.

When you find a Flower of Life flower, carefully observe it. You’ll see overlapping circles represented by flower petals seem to infinitely repeat themselves.

This Flower of Life pattern tells us life goes on forever as it radiates the first vibratory patterns of the universe.

The Dahlia—Flower of Life Flower

Perhaps the most obvious example of a Flower of Life flower is the dahlia.

If they could, dahlia’s petals would blossom outward to infinity just like fractals do.(1) Flower of Life flowers demonstrate the repeating fractal in nature.

Beautiful physical representation of the Flower of Life pattern, the dahlia symbolizes your spiritual journey through life. Exquisitely ethereal yet incredibly grounding, the dahlia Flower of Life flower reminds you of your spiritual and soul origin.

Resembling a mandala, pictured right,(3) you see the sacred geometry blueprint in the dahlia Flower of Life flower. Mandalas represent the primordial desire for completion of the soul.

The Seed Core of the Daisy or Sunflower— Flower of Life Flowers

In the seed core of the sunflower or daisy, witness the unfolding of phi or the golden ratio(2) integral to the Flower of Life symbol.

Read all about phi and the golden ratio in another of our blogs on the Flower of Life here.

Notice the repetitive arrangement—called phyllotaxis—of seeds, florets, and petals. They wind round and round in the Flower of Life flower we call sunflower.

Hues of yellow and ochre of these Flower of Life flowers connect directly to Earth element symbolism. The sunflower grows rapidly and mightily as it reaches for sky twirling its seed core and mimicking the sun that feeds it.

The Rose—Flower of Life Flower

The Flower of Life pattern exhibits the sacred geometry nesting pattern.

You can see it clearly evident in the blossoming rose. One petal (or circle in the Flower of Life symbol) nests inside another inside another in a spiral fashion.

The geometric pattern of the Flower of Life represents the essential concepts of mathematics and quantum physics.

Floating in PHYTO5’s quantum energetic five element Phyt’Ether serums is a similar Flower of Life blooming of living molecules. They make PHYTO5 serums far more than vibrantly fragrant.

PHYTO5’s quantum energetic five-element Phyt’Ether serums with a five-element colored Flower of Life symbol in the background

This radiating blooming makes the serums, in fact, all five element skincare, high vibrational skincare. They’re highly energetic, alive and potent to balance your skin condition, vital energy and emotional state.

But in our formulation process we’ve gone beyond high vibrational to quantum. PHYTO5’s five element lines vibrate with a potency that registers in the quantum range of frequency.

This energetic benefit in the serums also permeates and balances the electromagnetic field that envelopes your physical body—your aura.

This is why PHYTO5 adopted the Flower of Life to represent the quantum profoundly balancing and healing nature of our five element lines of skincare.

  • Use quantum energetic Wood Phyt’Ether serum for oily skin and balancing emotions of anger and lack of confidence.

  • Enjoy quantum energetic Fire Phyt’Ether serum for sensitive, irritated, allergic overheated skin. Balance joy.

  • Quantum energetic Earth Phyt’Ether serum balances toxic skin with acne, blemishes and enlarged pores. Balance emotional overwhelm and feel more free to express yourself creatively.

  • Quantum energetic Metal Phyt’Ether balances surface flakiness and smooths fine lines. Regain a sense that all is well.

  • Use quantum energetic Water Phyt’Ether if your skin is more mature, losing elasticity and hydration. Develop a sense of zenitude.

The Dandelion and Its Puffball Globe—Flower of Life Flower

You can quickly notice the Flower of Life pattern in a yellow dandelion. But once it becomes a white puffball globe of exposed seeds, there a true Flower of Life flower treats you to exquisiteness from what was once a weed.

The puffball dandelion Flower of Life flower demonstrates the propagation of life as it disperses its seeds over distances carried by the breeze.

The Romanesco Cauliflower—A Different Kind of Flower of Life Flower

Though you think of a cauliflower as a vegetable or cabbage, even its name tells you it’s also a type of flower. Cauliflower translates as flowered cabbage.

While the typical white cauliflower illustrates the Flower of Life pattern, you have to study it more to see it.

But if you’re looking for a Flower of Life Flower the green romanesco cauliflower doesn’t disappoint. Its spiraling fractal patterns will nearly hypnotize you as you enjoy its sacred geometrical formation in action.

The Carnation—Flower of Life Flower

Carnation petals may ruffle but the Flower of Life pattern clearly lives and grows in its blossom. The crown-like appearance of carnation’s spiraling petals reminds us of our royal heritage—our spirit.

The Aster—Flower of Life Flower

Aster comes from the Greek word for star. This flower is so named because the heads of its blossoms radiate like the luminous spheroids we call stars.

As stars live and die, they provide nearly all the elements that sustain life here on Earth. This life-sustaining action forms the epitome of the Flower of Life pattern in nature and art.

The Camellia flower stunningly expresses the Flower of Life pattern and frequency. Its petals nest perfectly in spiral fashion.

The Succulent—Flower of Life Flower

Not all succulents demonstrate the Flower of Life pattern but very many do.

Spot the Flower of Life geometry in many succulent varieties:

Flower of Life Flower–Reminder of Life’s Origin

The geometric pattern of the Flower of Life represents the essential concept of quantum physics. And you can recognize it in a thing as simple as a flower blossom.

The Flower of Life flower shows us that all things emerge from:

One. Perfectly. Organized. Pattern.

And what better place to find reminders of how primordial life first issued forth and still does than in a flower blossom?

Endnotes:

  1. A fractal is a curve or geometric figure, each part of which has the same statistical character as the whole. Fractals are similar patterns that recur at progressively smaller or larger scales.

  2. Golden ratio is the ratio of a larger to a smaller quantity when this is the same as the ratio of their sum to the larger of the two quantities (i.e. 1 to about 1.618), describing a geometric proportion that is considered to be particularly pleasing to the eye.

  3. The mandala is an intricate and usually colorful geometric figure representing the universe in Hindu and Buddhist symbolism.

The Flower of Life Meaning: Junction Point Between Mind and Matter

July 1, 2021 Purusha Radha
A vignette of the Flower of Life flowers in the dahlia, the romanesco cauliflower and the echeveria cactus

The Flower of Life pattern is a captivating form of sacred geometry. Awareness of the symbol dates back several centuries, yet the pattern itself has always existed. Its design is both simple and intricate. Without words, the Flower of Life speaks of quantum(1) energy and everything that flows from it — quantum health, quantum mind, and quantum beauty.

At PHYTO5, we have adopted the Flower of Life as a symbol of our expertise in truly seasonal skincare based on Traditional Chinese Medicine’s five seasons. Our 5-Element lines (Wood for Spring, Fire for Summer, Earth for transitional periods, Metal for Autumn, and Water for Winter) work by first balancing vital energy — the essential prerequisite for healthy, beautiful skin. Manufactured 100% in Switzerland at Laboratoire Gibro in Fleurier for over 45 years, these formulations combine time-tested TCM principles with proprietary quantum energetic processes to deliver authentic wellness beauty.

The Flower of Life Pattern Is Mathematical

Sacred geometry holds that mathematical and geometric principles form the foundation of all life forms and structures in the universe

A diagram of the Flower of Life sacred geometry symbol in gold

Sacred geometry holds that mathematical and geometric principles form the foundation of all life forms and structures in the universe.

The Flower of Life symbol is considered one of sacred geometry’s most important. It represents the interconnectedness of all living beings. Epitomizing cosmic order, this powerful symbol encompasses ancient spiritual wisdom and the secrets of creation.

The pattern consists of multiple evenly-spaced, overlapping circles that form a mesmerizing flower-like design.

“The Flower of Life pattern can be extended as a fractal, containing variations of itself within itself at all scales. It is the template of the fundamental symmetries of form in all the infinite dimensions. ”
— Narada Dan Vantari in Understanding Sacred Geometry and the Flower of Life

The pattern exhibits evenly spaced, repeating, overlapping circles of equal radii in two-dimensional space. If you love the mandala(2) of Hindu and Buddhist symbolism, you’ll immediately recognize the Flower of Life design in most mandalas. The oval-shaped spheres form a flower-like pattern with sixfold symmetry similar to a hexagon. Look closely and you’ll see that the center of each circle sits on the circumference of six surrounding circles of the same diameter.

The Flower of Life exists as a sacred geometry blueprint representing two fundamental human desires: our primordial desire for completion and Oneness with Source. These quantum concepts abound in all of nature, of which humans are an integral part.

Gaze at the Flower of Life symbol and the overlapping circles seem to infinitely repeat themselves. This pattern tells us life goes on forever.

Look closely at the golden colored dahlia pictured above or the seed core of a sunflower blossom to the right. They typify the Flower of Life in nature, repeated within their forms. The pineapple and pine cone are other clear examples. Countless examples of the Flower of Life in nature wait for you to notice and enjoy them.

Whether in a flower blossom or a diagram of the design, you are witnessing the unfolding of the sacred geometry concept of phi (the golden ratio; see endnotes #3). Phi appears virtually everywhere — in architecture, art, nature, the human body, and technology.

To see phi in action, notice how plants grow. You see the repetitive arrangement (called phyllotaxis) of petals, seeds, florets, and some branches. Where flowers demonstrate the Flower of Life design and the mathematical phi, the rows of petals often unfold numerically in the Fibonacci sequence — a series of numbers where each number is the sum of the two preceding ones (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, and so on).

Take a dahlia and count the petals in each row. You will frequently find quantities that follow the Fibonacci sequence.

Sometimes called the Genesis Pattern, the Flower of Life is also known as the Language of Silence and the Language of Light.

“[The Flower of Life] is the source of all language. It’s the primal language of the universe, pure shape and proportion.” ”
— Drunvalo Melchisedek in The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life

The Flower of Life Symbol Conveys Quantum Energy in Health and Healing

For quantum physicists inclined toward the spiritual, the geometric pattern of the Flower of Life represents an essential concept of quantum mechanics. Many mathematicians believe that all linguistic languages can be mapped from its sacred geometry.

The pattern shows us visually that language is energetic vibration. Just as the nested petals of a rose form layered structures, the Flower of Life blooms to illustrate the first vibratory patterns of the universe. It communicates that all things emerge from one perfectly organized quantum pattern.

Quantum energy is the subtle energy that permeates all matter. It connects everything in the universe and responds to our thoughts, emotions, and intentions. For this reason, it plays a vital role in our well-being.

This understanding aligns closely with Traditional Chinese Medicine’s concept of vital energy (Qi). PHYTO5’s 5-Element lines are formulated to be quantum energetic. Using a proprietary method, we elevate the vibratory frequency of essential oils so they can support balance at a deeper level of the mind-body system. The result is high-vibrational, truly seasonal skincare that works beyond the surface to restore balance, vitality, and emotional equilibrium.

Both the Flower of Life symbol and PHYTO5 skincare remind us of the infinite healing potential that lies within each of us. This is why PHYTO5’s 5-Element lines are designed as truly seasonal skincare. By balancing the vital energy associated with each of the five TCM seasons and skin conditions, our Swiss-made formulations support both the appearance of the skin and deeper mind-body harmony.

The Flower of Life Pattern Illustrates the First Vibratory Patterns of the Universe — Your Healing Essence

  1. First, we create physical balance where our systems work harmoniously with each other and we enjoy good health.

  2. The next level of health is called high vibrational or potently energetic. Here, vital energy abounds and flows freely in the body. At this level we are less prone to imbalance, yet if challenges arise we can still go deeper.

  3. The deepest level involves accessing the core of the mind-body system — the junction point between mind and matter — where consciousness begins to influence physical reality and true healing can be supported.

PHYTO5’s 5-Element lines are formulated to be quantum energetic. Using a proprietary method, we elevate the vibratory frequency of essential oils so they can support balance at this deeper level of the mind-body system. This means that, at the very least, you can treat your skin — the largest organ of the body — with formulations designed to work in harmony with vital energy and the natural rhythms of the five seasons.

The Flower of Life illustrates the first vibratory patterns of the universe. These patterns form a kind of healing essence that has always existed within you.

The Flower of Life Meaning Lives in the Foundational Beliefs of Ancient Spiritual and Philosophical Sages

The Flower of Life pattern has long fascinated artists, scientists, and philosophers. Its precision and harmony hold significant meaning across cultures and spiritual practices. Many integrated the symbol into art, architecture, and spiritual work as a way to connect with higher consciousness and divine energy.

Some spiritual and philosophical traditions believe the Flower of Life illustrates the fundamental forms of space and time. Others regard it as a foundational pattern of the universe.

Modern researchers, including physicist Nassim Haramein of the Resonance Science Foundation, have noted mathematical correlations between quantum theory and the geometry of the Flower of Life.

The temple of Osiris at Abydos in Egypt contains the Flower of Life pattern carved in granite — appropriate, since Osiris was associated with immortality and the afterlife. The Phoenicians, Assyrians, and cultures of India, Asia, and the Middle East also featured the symbol in their art. Eventually it appeared in medieval European art as well.

R. Buckminster Fuller’s geodesic dome (sometimes called the “Jitterbug”) is another clear representation of the pattern.

The Flower of Life Pattern Gives Birth to Many Other Sacred Geometry Forms.

If we connect points in the Flower of Life design, we can identify many other sacred geometry forms nested within it.

  • Metatron’s Cube

  • Vesica Piscis created by the interaction of two circles.

  • Tree of Life

  • Seed of Life

  • Egg of Life

  • Fruit of Life

We also find all five platonic solids in the Flower of Life symbol:

  • tetrahedron (four faces)

  • cube (six faces)

  • octahedron (eight faces)

  • dodecahedron (twelve faces)

  • icosahedron (twenty faces)

Metatron’s Cube is composed of thirteen circles and is associated with Archangel Metatron in Jewish mysticism (Kabbalah). Each circle corresponds to one of the thirteen spheres of the Kabbalah Tree of Life.

Vesica Piscis and the Tree of Life also nest within the Flower of Life. The Vesica Piscis forms when the centers of two equal-radius circles are placed on each other’s circumferences. Every line in the Tree of Life measures to either the length or width of a Vesica Piscis found in the pattern.

Leonardo da Vinci studied the Flower of Life extensively. He was particularly interested in how its geometry seemed to connect physical reality with consciousness and frequently used the golden ratio (phi) in his artwork.

The Seed of Life appears when six circles fit exactly around a seventh circle of the same size. The number seven recurs in spirituality: seven chakras, seven colors of the rainbow, and the seven-note musical scale.

Adding six additional circles to the Seed of Life produces the Egg of Life, the second iteration in the construction of the full Flower of Life.

“The higher dimensional patterns and principles revealed in the Triangles, Hexagons, and Circles of the Flower of Life, attract the human spirit back to its source and accelerate the evolution of consciousness.”
— Narada Dan Vantari

The Flower of Life Helps Us Understand Universal Creation

Sacred geometry ascribes symbolic and sacred meanings to certain geometric shapes and proportions.

You only have to look at the Flower of Life symbol once to recognize the platform it creates for contemplating universal creation.

To start, think of it this way: Each sphere contained within the Flower of Life symbol explains another aspect of reality.

And they all interconnect and relate to each other.

The Flower of Life symbol is only limited by the circle we draw to frame it.

Left unframed, it radiates into infinity in both directions—inward and outward. It’s no wonder it represents creation of the universe.

You Epitomize the Flower of Life Design Yourself

Today, many use the Flower of Life a focus point for study and meditation. The Flower of Life's intricate design and harmonious structure resonate with quantum energy frequencies.

By meditating on or simply observing the Flower of Life pattern in nature, you can intensify your connection to this universal energy field. You may even feel and experience a sense of balance, harmony, and alignment.

All objects and creatures in our tangible world are believed to have emerged from the Flower of Life design in sacred geometrical essence.

We are all products of the Flower of Life’s higher intelligence, consciousness and vibration.

While the Flower of Life symbol connects all individual souls within the web of life, the universal concept of ‘as above, so below’ applies here.

You yourself are the microcosmic aspect of the Flower of Life pattern.

We emerge from our mother’s sacred womb as repeating fractals of humanity. Humanity is constantly replicating itself in the same way of the Flower of Life pattern.

And this pattern is encoded in the deepest recesses of the human body. We can access its creative nature in the quiet places of our beings—the junction point between mind and matter.

This is the quantum realm the Flower of Life represents.

And it’s where true healing begins.
