Vital energy is a very subtle energy that flows throughout the body, connecting it energetically to its environment. Confirmed by quantum physics, vital energy is a carrier of intelligent information to all cells of the body.
Some people tend to think of vital energy as an esoteric and spiritual entity of some sort, in conflict with their own religious beliefs. This truly is not the case because matter and energy are themselves two sides of the same coin as demonstrated by Einstein himself.
Any misgivings one might have about vital energy could stem from a misunderstanding of the intrinsic nature of vital energy. Once we are armed with the proven facts about vital energy, there is no reason for anyone to fear that vital energy signifies any inherently contrary concept to one’s beliefs surrounding energy medicine and its extension as energetic skincare and wellness methodology.
Many deeply religious people from all faiths work with vital energy both in their professional and personal lives without any equivocation and with complete integrity.
We know from Einstein that matter converts into energy and vice versa in a very predictable way according to his famous formula: E=mc².
Energy and matter are interchangeable. If God created one of the two, He/She also created the other.
An appropriate analogy is water. It’s a liquid that can also be a solid as ice or a vapor as steam, yet it is always chemically the same composition: H₂O.
An interchange is constantly ongoing between energy and matter. In the realm of the manifested, energy and matter are two sides of the same coin.
Creation includes more than simply the visible and material realm. It includes non-visible realities like love, honesty, mathematics, for example. But while those have no direct visible effect, others do such as wind that is not visible while its manifestations are.
Energy is not visible. For example, you can’t see electricity. You can only see its manifestations.
Some forms of energy can be seen, some can be heard, some can be measured only with sophisticated scientific equipment. Others can only be surmised by their effects since we do not yet have the equipment or the knowledge to measure them and therefore prove them objectively.
This is also true of the subtle energy that flows throughout the bodies of both humans and animals.
There are many natural manifestations of energy around us that we take for granted.
For instance, a wave is not a movement of water through the ocean. Rather, it is a huge ripple of energy moving through the water.
The changes of the seasons are also changes in surrounding energy affecting all life forms.
In the gross corporeal body, many energetic functions keep the body alive. When the body is dead, it is chemically comprised of the same material substance as it was one second before it died, but there is no more energy. It’s gone.
Of course, for many people, it also means that the soul has vacated the body, yet the soul is not to be confused with vital energy simply because they are both invisible and exit the body at the same time.
The soul is spiritual substance whereas vital energy is the substance of the manifested (visible as matter or invisible as vital energy).
Vital energy, like all measurable energies, belongs to the material realm. It cannot be confused with spirit which belongs to a higher realm than the material.
Native and Meso-American traditions and the Eastern philosophies of India, China and Japan, for example, have contributed just a few of the time honored modalities and/or philosophies which in common emphasize these same views of the symbiosis of physical body and vital energy.
In Gnosis, vital energy is seen as one of the seven fundamental kinds of energy a human possesses (including also physical, psychic or emotional energy, mental energy, energy of the will, consciousness energy and pure Spirit energy).
Belief in vital energy is present in African religions and in the manifestos of Kabbalah, Hermeticism, and Rosicrucianism. It is even evident in much of the imagery of Christianity as the energy that endows life itself.
Look for references to vital energy in religious traditions and you will find them everywhere. It is even more ancient than the religions themselves having always existed in the bodies of man.
The book by PHYTO5 President Jon Canas that evokes a greater awareness of the possibilities for achieving enhanced beauty and vitality when working with vital energy.
